Port Noarlunga Blues Festival is a non-profit community incorporated organisation. It was created in 2017 by Port Noarlunga Business and Tourism Association as a special committee, dedicated solely to developing and promoting this annual event.
To create employment opportunities and a thriving community as well as promote greater cultural awareness and highlight the contribution and influence that Blues and Roots music has had on our cultural enrichment.
Less than an hour from the Adelaide CBD, Port Noarlunga has a unique village feel with award-winning cafes, bars, restaurants. It boasts an RSL, two surf life-saving clubs and a thriving arts and cultural community including a purpose-built art centre/theatre.
All of its venues are easy to walk to around the township, which includes an amazing coastline. As the gateway to the Fleurieu wine region, it is also an ideal location for drawing people from across the state, Australia and international visitors – a veritable mecca of tourism for the area.

Now in its fourth year, [discover our history] the festival’s format has been developed through positive feedback from visitors, local businesses, the community and all over Australia. Spanning three spectacular Spring days, Port Noarlunga’s many cafes, restaurants and the Arts Centre transform into bespoke performance venues.
The variety of hand-picked, local talent and the best line-up of Australian musicians provide a unique and festive atmosphere – now the largest and longest running Blues and Roots festival in South Australia!
“Music is the one thing that touches everyone’s soul; it emanates the sound of daily life, the struggle to survive resonates with some part of you. Blues music can express every emotion and allow you to relive your memories.”
