Dave Hole is Australia’s premier internationally successful bluesman and a highly acclaimed slide guitar virtuoso. He first burst onto the international scene in 1991 with “Short Fuse Blues”, the first of his seven albums released on the prestigious Alligator Records label. He is widely regarded as one of the all time slide guitar greats whose playing is infused with the spirit of such legends as Elmore James, Duane Allman and Johnny Winter.
Nine successful albums and countless tours of the U.S. and Europe have solidified Hole’s stature as one of the very best slide guitarists playing today and seen him headlining festivals in America, Germany, Denmark, Holland, France, Poland, Russia and Switzerland. His two performances at the prestigious Leverkussen Blues Festival in Germany were televised nationally. Tours have also included performances in the UK, Brazil, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Czech Republic.
After his historic January 2023 Memphis International Blues Challenge win, Frank Sultana, the globe-trotting Australian bluesman continues to build his reputation as a powerful, authentic blues singer, multi instrumentalist and songwriter. In the last 2 years he has collected 5 Sydney Blues Society Music Blues Awards for Best Songwriter (2023/2024) Best Traditional Blues , Artists Choice and Artist of the Year.
Whether is solo or fronting the Frank Sultana Blues Band, he is an exciting , raw performer. His ‘Ghosts of Sun’ album, recorded at the famed Sun Studio in Memphis just days after his IBC win spent 6 months in the Australian Blues Roots Radio Airplay Charts
In August 2023 he joined forces with the only other Australian winners of the prestigious Memphis International Blues Challenge Fiona Boyes (2003) and Jimi Hocking (2005) and they performed across Victoria and NSW to packed houses, and have subsequently been invited to perform at the 2025 Byron Bay Bluesfest
Over four decades travelling as a troubadour journey man has seen Chris Finnen often referred to as the guitarist’s guitarist’. Chris brings a wry twist to his original blues song writing, adding sly humour to lyrics, focusing on the musing of everyday experiences, and embracing a strong sense of community. His restless musical curiosity has seen him embrace a tapestry of varied cultural influences, weaving the sounds of India, Celtic traditions, and African nation’s into his music.
This has resulted in a career rich in variety and encompassing diverse opportunities from film scores, theatrical productions and musical therapy. Chris performed for the Dalai Lama in 2005, was a guest of the International Expo in Nagoya, Japan, and has shared the stage with some of the world’s best, including Buddy Guy, Bo Didley, Jimmy Witherspoon, Roy Buchanan, Eric Burdon, Keb Mo, Bob Brozman, Johnny Copeland, The Homes Brothers, John Mayall, and Mavis Staples. He has worked in Australia with Matt Taylor, Phil Manning, Dutch Tilders, Margaret Roadnight, Jeff Lang, Kevin Borich and Colin Offord. The list goes on.

Fiona Boyes has been recording for more than 25 years and tours regularly in Australia, the United States, and Europe. She was part of the Australian female Blues band, The Mojo’s, in the 1990s alongside Annie Packer, Gina Woods, Kaz Dalla Rosa and Paula Dowes. Boyes released her debut studio album, Blues in My Heart in 2000. In 2003, she won the solo/duo category at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
Boyes’ debut US release Lucky 13 was nominated by the Blues Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee for the 2007 Blues Music Awards, ‘Contemporary Blues Album of the Year’. She has since received three further BMA nominations for ‘Traditional Female Blues Artist’ (2010), ‘Acoustic BluesAlbum of the Year’ (2009), ‘Contemporary Female Blues Artist’ (2008),and her 2008 release Live From Bluesville won the US Blues Critics Award for Best Live Blues Album. Boyes has also received 15 national recording and performance awards in Australia.
Minnie Marks is not just some blazingly electrified guitar playing freak of nature. She is also a rare and triple threat: Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Relentlessly gigging across the globe, equipped with an old Goldtop in her hands and a revolutionary Farmer Foot Drum at her feet; Marks consistently pushes musical limits with her mind-blowing, dynamic guitar wizardry and her insanely powerful voice, that roars out her truth through song as if her own life depended on it. And, if that’s not enough, simultaneously, creates bone marrow shaking grooves with spare limbs on her Foot Drum kit. Finally all three beasts are married together to forge a mammoth sized wall of sound.
From winning the world renowned ‘Bluesfest Busking Competition’ in 2011, to taking out the People’s Choice Award’ at both Blues At Bridgetown and Nannup Music Festival, plus earning the winning place of ‘Best Guitarist’ for the Open Arms Festival competition, Marks is no stranger on the block.
LilG, is a rising Australian guitar prodigy who has captivated audiences with her extraordinary talent and deep-rooted passion for blues and surf rock. Born and raised on the Central Coast of New South Wales, she began her musical journey in 2019 at the age of seven. Despite her youth, Lil G has been described as having an “old soul,” a quality reflected in her expressive playing style and mature musical sensibilities. Her influences span a wide array of legendary musicians, including the “Three Kings” (B.B., Albert, and Freddie), Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, and Bonnie Raitt. Lil G’s performances are characterized by a blend of high-energy blues and retro surf rock, drawing comparisons to the sounds of The Shadows and The Ventures.
Lil G’s hard work has not gone unnoticed; she has performed alongside notable artists like Nathan Cavaleri and has been featured in events such as the Youth in Blues Talent Spectacular in Canberra.

A band forged in Adelaide Australia, The Honey Badgers feature an incredible line up playing mainly original music that makes people feel good. Rooted in the blues with sprinkles of soul and funk, this band made the top six at the International Blues Challenge in the USA in 2023. The debut album, Shakin’ (peaked at #1 on the ABARAC charts) was recorded over a three year period and showcases the band’s development from SA southern vales favorites to an international level powerhouse that wowed the judges in the home of Stax Records, Sun Studios and the hallowed ground of the Beale Street clubs.
Progressing all the way to the Grand Finale at the Orpheum Theatre, this band did what only one other Australian band in the history of the IBC challenge, the legendary “Collard, Greens and Gravy”from Melbourne, had achieved at that time.
